Pink concrete is a product obtained from the flowers of the Damascena oil-bearing rose, extracted by the extraction method. It is mainly used to obtain pink absolute. Since 1906, Bulgaria started the production of pink concrete by extraction, by which method the purest production is obtained. It is obtained by extracting a fresh, unsteamed flower from a Bulgarian butter rose.
Method: Hexane extraction of fresh pink Damascena rose flowers.
The flower of roses is placed in cylindrical vessels, called extractors, and poured successively three times with light benzine at ordinary temperature. The solvent penetrates the color and dissolves the aromatics, waxes and dyes.
The gasoline or hexane or other type of petroleum solvent with the substances dissolved in it is pumped into other vessels, called evaporators, from which, at a relatively low temperature, most of the solvent is distilled. The resulting concentrated solution is vacuum distilled to yield a solid, red-colored product called pink concrete.
Output 1 kg. pink concrete is obtained from about 500-600 kg. pink colors.

Chemical composition: Rose concrete contains all components of rose oil, with phenylethyl alcohol predominating - about 70%. The composition of concrete includes over 166 components, of which 30 are hydrocarbons. In addition to aromatic ingredients, pink concrete also includes: vegetable waxes, organic acids, trace elements, ferments, tanning and dyeing substances.
It has been proven that the concrete produced by processing the flowers of the Bulgarian butter rose is of the highest quality.
